Introduction

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel, a recent addition to the famous Strip, brings a new level of sophistication and opulence to the city’s luxury hotel scene. Known for its ultra-modern design, expansive amenities, and indulgent experiences, the Fontainebleau seamlessly blends Vegas excitement with refined elegance.

This review focuses on my stay in the Bleau Queen Mountain Best View room, detailing everything from the booking process via AmexTravel to the exceptional dining options available within the hotel.

As a frequent traveler who values luxury, my stay was enhanced by the American Express Platinum Card and its associated perks, which provided additional benefits and credits to elevate the experience.

Booking Through AmexTravel and Fine Hotels + Resorts Program

I booked my stay at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel through AmexTravel.com to take advantage of the Fine Hotels + Resorts program. This program offers numerous perks for Amex Platinum cardholders, including a $200 annual hotel credit, which I used for this reservation. One of the best aspects of booking through Fine Hotels + Resorts is the suite of exclusive benefits. For this stay, I enjoyed the following perks:

  • A $100 hotel credit towards restaurants located in the hotel.
  • $60 daily breakfast credit at specified restaurants: El Bagel on the promenade, Vida, or Chez Bon Bon.
  • Guaranteed 4 PM late checkout
  • Room upgrades (if available – we upgraded from Bleau Queen Mountain Great View to Bleau Queen Mountain Best View located on the 55th floor or above [our room was on the 61st floor]).
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout the property
  • Early check-in (when available)

These perks not only added significant value to the stay but also contributed to a more relaxed and luxurious experience. Using the Amex Platinum made the trip feel more rewarding and elevated the overall quality of service I received.

The Bleau Queen Mountain Best View Room

The Bleau Queen Mountain Best View room offers a stunning retreat, perfectly balancing luxury and comfort with breathtaking views of the Nevada mountains. This room, part of the Fontainebleau’s meticulously designed offerings, provides a high-end experience, with its clean lines, modern décor, and panoramic windows.

Room Layout and Design

Walking into the room, I was immediately struck by the grandeur of the space. The room’s décor features a chic blend of soft neutral tones with bold accents, creating a calming yet elegant atmosphere. The queen-sized beds were draped in plush, high-thread-count linens, and the room is filled with designer furniture that speaks to Fontainebleau’s emphasis on modern luxury.

The floor-to-ceiling windows were undoubtedly the highlight of the room, offering a stunning view of the nearby mountains, especially at sunset. This serene view created a peaceful contrast to the buzzing Las Vegas Strip, offering a moment of tranquility in an otherwise fast-paced city.

Amenities and Comfort

The room comes equipped with all the modern amenities you’d expect from a luxury hotel: a large flat-screen TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a fully stocked mini-bar featuring premium spirits and snacks. The desk area provided ample space to work, though with such spectacular views and luxurious surroundings, work was the last thing on my mind.

The only thing I didn’t see included in the room was a coffee machine for a quick injection of caffeine to begin my day. So, my wife and I ended up going off property to a Starbucks off-the-strip to get our fix before heading back to the hotel for breakfast at Vida.

The bathroom is a masterpiece of luxury. Outfitted with a large soaking tub and a rain shower, it was the perfect place to unwind after a day on the Strip. Marble surfaces and high-end toiletries from a premium brand enhanced the experience, making even a routine shower feel like a spa experience.

Fine Hotels + Resorts Extra Perks

Through the Fine Hotels + Resorts program, my stay included a daily breakfast credit, which I used at one of the hotel’s signature restaurants (more on that below). The $100 daily hotel credit was perfect for indulging in one of the many great restaurants located inside the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel.

Late checkout at 4 PM was an added bonus, allowing me to truly savor my final day without feeling rushed. The overall room experience was elevated by the personal touches and attention to detail that the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel provides to Amex Platinum guests.

Dining and Lounges at Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Fontainebleau Las Vegas boasts an impressive array of dining options, with something for every palate. From fine dining to casual eateries, the hotel offers a variety of restaurants that cater to both culinary aficionados and those simply seeking a great meal. During my stay, I explored several of the most notable restaurants and lounges, each offering a unique dining and drinking experience.

1. Komodo

Komodo at Fontainebleau Las Vegas is a vibrant, Asian-fusion dining experience blending upscale ambiance with Asian-inspired flavors. The restaurant, a Las Vegas edition of Miami’s Komodo, features a sleek, tropical interior and an extensive menu that includes signature dishes like Wagyu beef dumplings, miso sea bass, and unique plant-based options. Komodo offers a luxurious setting where patrons can enjoy a lively atmosphere alongside celebrity guests and specialty cocktails, creating an unforgettable night out in Vegas

2. Nowhere Lounge

Nowhere Lounge at Fontainebleau Las Vegas offers an intimate, high-end experience tailored to guests seeking a sophisticated nightlife option. Known for its blend of ambient lighting and sleek, modern design, Nowhere Lounge creates a moody, immersive atmosphere that complements its curated cocktail menu. The space is designed for exclusivity, giving guests the feeling of discovering a hidden gem amid the lively hotel. Perfect for small groups or date nights, it’s a refined spot for those looking to unwind in a more relaxed environment compared to the high-energy clubs on the Strip

My wife and I enjoyed a number of cocktails at this lounge, including one called Let’s Elope that was made of Fords Gin, lemon, cantaloupe, and orgeat

Also, it was here at Nowhere Lounge where I learned the difference between tequila and mezcal – essentially, smoky tequila – thanks to the help of our knowledgeable bartenders. It was a fun experience all around.

3. Vida Café

For a more casual dining option, Vida Café offers a variety of comfort food dishes in a relaxed setting. We ate breakfast here, taking full advantage of the daily breakfast credit provided through Amex Platinum. I enjoyed a classic eggs benedict and my wife, Jaclyn, had the Vida “All In” Breakfast, which is your classic breakfast platter of pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns, and choice of breakfast meat. The food was scrupmtious. We enjoyed fresh organge juice and coffee with our meals.

4. Bar Bleu

Although we never had any drinks at Bar Bleau, it was tough to miss as it sits right in the center of the hotel’s casino floor. A more laid-back option, Bar Bleu offers handcrafted cocktails and small bites, perfect for a pre-dinner drink or a late-night snack. The drinks here must be good because it was packed the whole time we were staying at the hotel.

5. Collins Lounge

Collins Lounge at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas Hotel offers a classic, warm atmosphere perfect for intimate gatherings or relaxing solo moments. Located next to the hotel lobby, this venue combines old-world charm with elegant, contemporary decor. Patrons can enjoy a variety of meticulously crafted cocktails paired with sophisticated small bites, including charcuterie options, making it ideal for unwinding or conversation. With space to host up to 123 guests, Collins is well-suited for both casual and semi-private gatherings, providing attentive service and a welcoming ambiance for a memorable Las Vegas lounge experience.

Amex Platinum Perks at Fontainebleau

Staying at Fontainebleau Las Vegas with the Amex Platinum Card not only elevated my experience but also provided substantial savings and added value. Here are some of the key perks I enjoyed during my stay:

  • $200 Fine Hotels + Resorts credit: This annual credit essentially covered 2/3 of our hotel stay expense, making our luxurious stay even more affordable.
  • $100 hotel credit: This was perfect for dining at the hotel’s top restaurants.
  • Complimentary breakfast: Each morning, I enjoyed breakfast credits at some of the hotel’s best dining spots, including Vida Café.
  • Late checkout: Guaranteed 4 PM late checkout allowed me to extend my stay and fully enjoy the last day without any rush.
  • Room upgrade: While the Bleau Queen Mountain Great View was already an exceptional room, Amex Platinum cardholders have the chance for an upgrade (subject to availability), adding even more value to the stay, like we upgraded to the Best View room located on the 61st floor.

Conclusion

My stay at Fontainebleau Las Vegas was a luxurious and memorable experience, thanks in part to the exclusive perks provided by the Amex Platinum Card. From the breathtaking views of the Bleau Queen Mountain Best View room to the exceptional dining experiences at the hotel’s restaurants, Fontainebleau delivered on all fronts.

The combination of modern luxury, impeccable service, and world-class dining make the Fontainebleau one of the most exciting new hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. For travelers seeking a refined, indulgent stay with added perks through Amex Platinum, Fontainebleau Las Vegas is a top choice that offers both value and unforgettable experiences.
